They say that when you do something you love, you will never have to work a day in your life. I am certainly living proof of that adage. I have always loved helping people and being a caretaker as well as creating amazing hair styles. These two passions go hand in hand as often the simple action of making someone feel beautiful can also make them feel better physically. I knew at a young age that I somehow wanted to combine these interests into a career.

When people find out what I do for a living they say, “You must have the coolest job ever!” And you know what? I really do! I get to be a part of so many special events in people’s lives and share that moment with them. What could be better? As one bride said to me, “You are not only an amazing artist, you also get to do something so few people can; you get to make me feel pretty and confident!”

I knew at a young age that I somehow wanted to combine these interests into a career.
I was able to make that happen by becoming a nurse (which I have done for the past nine years) while still designing styles for all my brides on the weekends! I began my hair career, like a lot of stylists, by doing event hair on the side for friends and family. That eventually turned into me working with wonderful makeup artists here in Richmond. After several years of working with these talented individuals I wanted to pursue hair styling with more intensity which led me here, living out my dream with BRIDEface Richmond!
I love all of the intricate styles, the twists and turns, the soft waves, the curls that bounce perfectly and the way each woman looks in the mirror after seeing her hair styled. My goal is to give each of my brides not only what she described, but the most beautiful version of herself. I enjoy that each client wants something unique to fit her individual style and my job is to make that picture in her mind comes to life. Weddings are my focus and it is something that I just can't get enough of and I love every moment of it!
