I never imagined that my love of glamour would eventually become my profession, and I am so grateful it happened that way. Since starting out in the makeup industry, I have had many exciting opportunities where my makeup style and designs have expanded into print work for magazines and ad campaigns, runway fashion shows, on location photo shoots, television and movie set projects, and of course working with brides throughout Virginia. As a makeup stylist and artist, I have the freedom and pleasure of doing exactly what I love to do.

When people find out what I do for a living they say, “You must have the coolest job ever!” And you know what? I really do! I get to be a part of so many special events in people’s lives and share that moment with them. What could be better? As one bride said to me, “You are not only an amazing artist, you also get to do something so few people can; you get to make me feel pretty and confident!”

I had the pleasure of working with Jonye as my MUA for my wedding on August 20, 2016. She is absolutely wonderful! Her skills are impeccable and she made me look and feel absolutely beautiful! Jonye was nothing short of amazing!!!! Even though initially I only had 2 bridesmaids who wanted their makeup done (lower than BRIDEface's minimum) she was still willing to work with me! (luckily an additional bridesmaid asked for makeup closer to the wedding). I changed my mind on what I was looking for between the trial and the day-of and Jonye was able to bring my vision to life so beautifully!!! I highly recommend BRIDEface, and especially Jonye! Jonye with BRIDEface was amazing! I wear no makeup, unless moisturizer and the occasional application of mascara count, so I was a little nervous about what to do for my wedding day. Jonye was awesome, not only did I have a blast hanging out with her but I was thrilled beyond belief with her work! I may have been more adventurous with my makeup but my fiancé is not a fan of makeup and Jonye did an amazing job balancing it all. The weather on our wedding day was terrible (pouring rain & humid), but the makeup was flawless in spite of all the dancing, humidity, and rain. Thank you Jonye! Caitlin W.

Jonye was amazing! It was like having your best friend there to make you feel beautiful on your wedding day! I don't wear a lot of make-up and Jonye made me look amazing without feeling like I had on a "clown face". I loved her suggestions on color and she did a wonderful job on my mom and bridesmaids as well- I highly recommend BRIDEface for weddings or any occasion! Christie G.

While I was initially hesitant about having my makeup professionally done for my wedding, I am SO happy that my bridal party and I worked with Jonye from BRIDEface! She was always highly communicative and flexible throughout the planning process. At the trial, Jonye really sought to understand my concerns and how I envisioned my look for the day. After the trial, my mom even decided to get hers done after seeing Joyne's work. I was so happy with how my makeup looked on the day of, both in person and in photos, and it lasted the entire night, despite an early afternoon ceremony. I have enjoyed a career in the makeup industry that has spanned 20 years. I have been a featured makeup artist for some of the most prestigious and admired cosmetic companies in the world of beauty and fashion. It was during my many years as a regional make-up artist for Chanel that I fell in love with the artistry of makeup design.
I am so excited to now be a makeup artist with BRIDEface Richmond. I am honored to be able to share my ideas and techniques with so many brides and am forever humbled by the appreciation I continue to receive through the many relationships that I have built.
