I have always had a passion for hair. It started when I was in grade school and my friends would come over to have me style their hair before we went out to play. I loved looking for styles I could recreate and practiced on everyone for dances and picture day! Once I finished school, I knew I had to follow my dream and become a professional stylist. My career in the hair industry began at the Rudy and Kelly Academy. After graduating I worked behind the chair for many years in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Living in a destination wedding spot I quickly found I had a talent for formal styling. Since then I have participated in numerous training programs with top professionals in the hair industry to keep up with this ever-growing art form. I love the creativity that comes with bridal hair as every individual look ends up being unique.

After several years in North Carolina I made the move to Richmond, Virginia. I have established myself as a stylist at the amazing 1213 Hair Studio. While working there I have had the opportunity to work with Richmond Bride Magazine and numerous photographers for photo shoots and runway shows. While I still work behind the chair, traveling and doing on site styling will always be exciting and something that will remain a big part of my career. Working with bridal parties that get to be comfortable, in a relaxing environment, is such a joy for me. I love that I get to be a small part of someone’s special day! When I’m not doing hair, you can find me exploring the city, hiking in the mountains or relaxing on the beach.
